Cats ,cats and more cats

I arrest my case......maybe tomorrow we'll do my kids baby pictures. :)

Bullets of boredom....

* Well, I finally found some clothes. There they are .Burlap at it's finest.

* Yesterday I did an open house. The excitement nearly killed me. I had one couple show up right when I arrived and then two elderly ladies showed up right as I was leaving and had just locked the door.

Why do people come to an open house and ask me the only questions I do not have answers to?

"Who's the builder?"

I don't know. Who cares.

"Why did they make the bedrooms so small?"

I don't know.Who cares.They're already made.

"Do they have financing?"

Of course they do, any loan you're eligible for.Ack!!

* My friend Poo Poo is coming to visit in May and guess where we're going baby?
We are going to spend the night at Turpentine creek. It is a big cat sanctuary...with Lions, Tigers, Cougars. And even some Monkeys!!
They have some kind of bed and breakfast tree house. You can look down and watch the big cats and hear them. We are excited like little kids. WOO HOO!!!

Check it out , doesn't O'Reilly resemble the cougars?

*My husband is going to be off work for 2 weeks an "at home" vacation.Which means I have a ton of housework to do before that starts.I have to get everything spotless to begin with so he can slowly trash it all.

This is also when I'll be breaking out his "honey do "list. Some of the things on it have been on it for 2 years now.Like install cat door, install laundry cabinet, rearrange bedroom furniture.
It's like waiting for our punch list to get finished. ACK!
I'll believe it when I see it.

*I wish i could sue that damn girl that cut/ruined my hair!!I wake up every morning now with an honest to God mullet!

*Boring much? Yes, why yes I am. So I will shut up now. :) Later on I'll post some pictures cuz cute never goes out of style.

Give me burlap!!!

Well , the last fews days have been less than exciting. I have been packing winter clothes and getting summer clothes out of the attic.
Only to realize that my summer wardrobe consists of about 20 bathing suits. I am in serious need of some new clothes.

In the last few days I have been to every store in this town (and every store on the internet) and have not found one thing I would be caught dead wearing.

What are these people thinking?Presenting some current styles.

They're out of their damn minds!

This crap and I do mean crap,is the most unflattering crap I have ever seen. The only thing that could possibly be more unflattering would be sausage casings made out of burlap bags!
I refuse to buy or wear any of this ugly crap!!!

So if you should see me out showing houses wearing a bathing suit and a burlap bag.......THIS is why.

Are we there yet????

Well, I took a little road trip day before yesterday to show some houses.Turned out to be a very LONG trip...to the tune of around 400 miles.

I don't know how we used to travel so much , because now I LOATHE it.Every part of my old body hurts. I constantly have to go pee, and riding in a non-smoking car....Ha! I don't even think I need to elaborate on that misery.

I was riding in the back seat of this couples car.I have no doubt they were ready to kill me before they day was over.(keep in mind that i know these people)
I was like a spoiled kid in their backseat.

"I'm hungry, when are we going to eat?"

"I have to pee "(for the millionth time)

"Are we there yet?"

"I need to smoke!!!! "

All that was missing was me singing with headphones on. You never realize how annoying you really are until you view it through someones else's eyes. LOL

We looked at one house which was in a nice little Lake town. The house looked like a swiss chalet on the outside and was just perfect for them.We even met the owners , who were just as nice as they could be.

Then...off we go another 200 miles to see the next house.
The next one was a place way , way , way out in the country. Miles down a dirt road to get to it. The town? What town? we were told "it's only a 23 mile drive to Walmart"

Lets just say this house was not so "perfect for them."But the kicker for me was the sights we saw on the way TO the house.

For your viewing pleasure , I present rural Arkansas.

I am not exaggerating when I say that ,in person , that last shot looked just like the Apocalypse.
I would not have been surprised to see scorched bodies strewn about.

I will sum it up in one word. DEPRESSING!

I told them "yeah, I can see you guys living out here, pretty soon you'd be like that guy in the Shining"

We finally left that God forsaken place for our LONG journey back home.

"Are we there yet?"

"I need to pee"

"OH! I need a cigarette"

"Man, aren't we ever gonna eat?"

Like an oasis out in the desert, we see "Bubba's catfish shack"
By then we are so hungry ...any place is worth a try.

Naturally Bubbas turns out to be a buffet. Fried frog legs, fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried okra, fried potatoes, fried chicken......and some bar-b-q meat. I think oh a sandwich won't be too bad.

"Do you guys have any bread?"

"No, we have fried biscuits rolled in sugar and fried hush puppies"

Ok fine. I had to have me a fried fest. The french fries were pretty good. They also had 4 kids of cobbler for dessert.
And the cigarette I got to smoke was best of all.

Once we were back in the car I tried to put myself (ha, and everyone else) out of my misery by sleeping the rest of the way .

I felt like I was ready for the nursing home by the time we got there at 10 P.M.

The next morning we got an offer written up for the "good house"
Basically, they just signed where they needed to and I planned to finish filling it out at home.
Per their request.

I did that and then went down to the office to fax it over to the other agent. I had left a few blank spots because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to put. As everything is totally different than it was in Chicago.

So I get to go over the entire 13 pages with my boss . Who immediately starts thinking "this girl is some kind of moron"

Suffice it to say...the entire experience was a humiliating , confidence shattering ordeal.
(as usual) My curse.

Now the waiting begins to see if my people will get their offer accepted or not on their perfect dream home.If not, I will be just as crushed as they will. It really was "just right" for them.

To top off the day , I check my mailbox at work and get my monthly bill.Which is a whole lot more than I thought it would be.Guess I need to start taking in ironing or something to pay for my Real estate hobby.

Mullet girl with clean closet

I woke up today with my messy bedroom staring me right in the face.

UGGH!

So while I drank my coffee I was busy making my 5 page list of work that needs to be done around here. I swear, I can no longer function without a list. Even though the list is pretty overwhelming…..it’s cake compared to NOT having a list to go by.

First thing this morning Cavuto decides that maybe I don’t have enough work to do with my 5 page list, and he does THIS!

All cats get locked in the office while I clean up the candle holder that I have loved for 2 years.

I finally got my bedroom, bathroom and closet clean. YAY! I bagged up about 5 bags of junk for Goodwill, one box for the next yard sale, and about 5 bags of trash. (Mostly magazines)

NOTE TO SELF: quit buying magazines!!!!

It’s been about 6 months since I got a haircut because the last time I went, I got this little blonde who had obviously just escaped from beauty school, and she scalped me. I went in there with long pretty hair and left looking like a victim of a five year old with scissors.

Ironically, shortly after that my husband went and got a haircut and when he came home, nearly bald…he didn’t even have to tell me which girl had cut his hair. I knew it was Blondie.

We discussed this about a week ago, how I have to go get my hair shaped up. bla bla bla.

He said” Well make sure you don’t let Blondie cut it”

So I go in there today and who do I see coming near my head with scissors? Blondie, of course.

The curse would have it no other way.

And do I have the nerve to say “No, I’d rather let some one else cut my hair.”?

UMM…hell no! That would be too cruel, too rude. I am much too nice and polite to hurt the girls’ feelings.

I just sit in the chair and let her have her way with my head.

Am I Stupid, Spineless, Idiotic? You bet!

I am now the proud owner of what my kids will call a mullet.

Is it spring yet? Winter is bringing me down. It’s funny that I hear people talking here, about how they’re freezing and “I hope this cold wind is over now”

Try Chicago honey. I do remember how much worse it could be. I just wish it was better. HA!

I guess I’m a spoiled brat. And apparently, so is everyone else in this semi warm town.

Good night ya’ll, mama’s tired. Cavuto woke me up at 5 before he started his reign of terror.

Tornados and winter laziness

Yes, I know I’m behind on updating. Can you say boring??

That’s what this week has been. I started out the week with the intention of spring cleaning my closet and packing the majority of my winter clothes. Once I had the whole mess drug out I realized it was too overwhelming a job, for the mood I was in. So there it sits…..

Three days later. Waiting for me. A mess I can not continue to ignore. Wouldn’t you say?

That’s what I’ll be doing today.

Our weather has been great for the past week or so .Did I take advantage of it and clean out my filthy car? Noooooo. Tomorrow it’s back to being cold. Damnit.

How ‘bout these tornado's? Wow . I never really took the warnings that serious. Guess I will be changing my tune about that.

I was in a tornado once.

Picture it, Gardendale ,Texas…..about 24 years ago. I was out in the sticks, in my trailer house with a 3 year old and a one year old baby and a black cat. Outside we had a huge German Shepard puppy that had a severe dog tick problem. I happened to glance out the window and the entire world looked orange. Ut-oh something was not right about that.

I turn on the radio and they are saying “tornado warning…etc.. if you are in a mobile home, get out and go to a safe shelter”

We were 20 miles outside of town, with no car. My husband was at work with our only car. There was no way to get anywhere safe.

I went to unplug the electric cord from our giant swamp cooler. As soon as I unplugged it the whole thing flew out the window and blew away.

I got the kids, the cat and the tick covered dog and we all got in a pile under the playpen and all the couch cushions. Lol Like that would have saved us.

Luckily it didn’t touch down on the stupid 20 year old mother and her babies and pets.

So, yeah, tornado's …they are not kidding.

Have a great day ya’ll .I hope my weekend will be more exciting that the week has been.
