This is your brain on Nyquil....

What do sick people do for entertainment? Besides coughing up lungs, guessing the shape of sputum and swallowing razorblades?Yeah.

They find cool slang on the urban dictionary ,silly!

Presenting a bunch of slang that I think we all need to add to our vocabularies, cuz we sound OLD like this, yo.

************************************************************************************

When a woman is turned on by the sight of her husband/boyfriend/partner doing regular household chores, that she would normally be doing.

Usually seen in overweight males, but can strangely also occur in men who are not really overweight.
"Those moobs are quite sizable."
"Indeed."

Used to describe sombody who is missing some of their teeth, because Summer there and Summer not!

An elaborated version of the sentiment is found in the phrasing: "Let me get you a straw so you can SUCK IT UP."

The proffering of a straw to aid "sucking up" abilities is generally considered more comical (read: obnoxious) than simply telling a whiner to deal.

Can be used in any situation.
*a minor chainsaw incident occurs*

Sick and saggin'

Ola y'all,

Well naturally, since I told you a couple days ago "I never get sick" now, I am sick as a dog.

About 9;30 this morning I left the house to go to Walgreens for cough medicine and nyquil. Immediately ,I regretted not bringing my camera.

It was pouring rain. Just a few blocks from my house I see this young ,one legged black guy on crutches. He was walking (hobbling) through the rain ...on crutches, one pant leg was tied in a knot at the end . But since his pants were literally on the very edge of falling OFF.....the tied pant leg was soaking wet ,dragging on the ground. It was all i could do to restrain myself from yelling out the window "HEY! your pants are falling off!!!"

yeah. (and those are navy blue undies..not his nekkid ass)

then when I drove past the horse track there were horses running through the mud. Practicing. One horse was rebelling, turning the other way and such. damn it! why didn't I bring the camera.

I am in love. I don't have a clue who this crackhead is .......but I just discovered her blog and she is freakin funny!

http://rqmitchell.blogspot.com/

It's time for my Nyquil.

I wish I had a parent to make me some chicken and dumplings. :(

Hoo Haw meme

Ok. I got nothing. LOL
So I stole this "birthday month meme" from Val

http://goldentosilver.blogspot.com/

I'm supposed to see how well this all fits "me"
Let's see, shall we?

AUGUST: Loves to joke. Attractive. Suave and caring. Brave and fearless. Firm and has leadership qualities. Knows how to console others. Too generous and egoistic. Takes high pride in oneself. Thirsty for praises. Extraordinary spirit. Easily angered. Angry when provoked. Easily jealous. Observant. Careful and cautious. Thinks quickly. Independent thoughts. Loves to lead and to be led. Loves to dream. Talented in the arts, music and defense. Sensitive but not petty. Poor resistance against illnesses. Learns to relax. Hasty and trusty. Romantic. Loving and caring. Loves to make friends.

Loves to joke.......... ea' sometimes i suppose. Sarcasm is more my style though.

Attractive...........Oh yeah. That's me. LOL

Suave and caring...........Can a female even BE suave? Caring , Yes. I am that.

Brave and fearless......Brave maybe. But certainly not fearless. I fear EVERYTHING!

Firm and has leadership qualities.......I have no clue about this. I am usually only the "leader" when I sense that everyone else would be even worse as leader, than me.

Knows how to console others........not really.

Too generous and egoistic.......Generous. Yeah.
I assume that's supposed to be "egotistical"
NO I am definitely NOT that.

Takes high pride in oneself..........Well, if this means being clean and well groomed...then yeah. But snobby pride...no way!

Thirsty for praises...........nope.

Extraordinary spirit........yeah , that sounds like me. :)

Easily angered...........actually no. Very slow to anger.

Angry when provoked.......but you won't like me when I'm angry. lol

Loves to lead and to be led.............What am i schizophrenic now? Uh ,I think prefer to BE led. By someone MORE responsible and qualified than myself.

Loves to dream..........UM , NO!!!In fact I hate dreamers . I think it's stupid. Irresponsible and stupid are what describe most of the "dreamers" I have known. I am all about "realistic" baby!

Talented in the arts, music and defense...........ha ha ha !! Not quite. Arts? I can draw a hooker shoe and a dog facing backwards. Music? Yes , I constantly whistle or hum "and the casons go rolling along". Defense? If you give me an M-16 .....then Yep . Trained and talented:)

Sensitive but not petty.............My husband would say "overly sensitive" and nope I don't think I'm petty.

Poor resistance against illnesses.............Another lie! I never get sick. (now that my little germ factories have grown up)

Learns to relax..........true. too bad it took me 40 years to "learn it"

Hasty and trusty..........Nope, not true. I don't think I'm hasty . And I don't have any dumb blind trust either.

Romantic...........Um...don't think so. That goes right up there with "dreamers" hello!
I don't believe in Santa anymore either. :)

Loving and caring...........yes , that I am . But you probably won't even know it unless you KNOW me.Then ...to know me is to love me. LOL

Loves to make friends......Nope. I'm shy as hell. I LOVE and keep my friends. But I'm pretty selective about who I waste my time on.I usually know within minutes of meeting someone if I would want them for a friend.

Well, there we have it. why I think astrology is a bunch of hoo haw. :)

Two of my kids are the same "sign" and they are as different as night and day.

My spouse was kind enough to go do my grocery shopping. Then Floozie2 and Lake Farmer came over and happy houred with us.

We ate some rotten leftovers for dinner and that was our thrilling Friday.

Today ,Floozie2 and I are going thrift storing. And I may go to the library too.
You KNOW you're jealous of my exciting life. LOL

Stuff I love.....

Hi y'all,

Yes, I know I haven't updated for days. I've been hibernating.
It's been COLD , dreary and boring around here.

Next week my husband will be off working somewhere. So all my cleaning projects are on hold until then. Once my "Oscar Madison" is OUT of the house. lol

I have watched Fox news and Presidential debates until that crap is running through my dreams at night. Can we say "SICK of IT!!"

I'm reading some book called "Them" it's about a bunch of white people moving into an all black neighborhood in Atlanta. And how they are NOT very welcome there. Understandable, once you read it from "their" perspective.

It reminded me how years ago , my mother did live in an all black neighborhood. And we're not talking a middle class neighborhood here. I was scared to death to go there. but she had no problems living there. My niece (that she was raising ) was 8 at the time and walked all the way to school ...ALONE and everything. Nobody ever bothered her.
My mom used to give away loaves of bread to the neighborhood people. I answered the door over there one day and some tough young black guys said "is the bread lady home?"
She managed to fit right in . They even went to the all black church.
My 8 year old niece knew all the black dances and everything.

Funny the stuff you remember. My mother was not the type to get along with people . So that whole era was odd ,to say the least.

Well, that concludes our little walk down memory lane:)
