Pardon me, do you have any rat traps?

Happy Thursday Y'all,

The first week after my husband leaves always sucks. You'd think I could bounce right back after all these years of it.But ...noooooo.
The first week ,I'm a lazy ,sad bum.

Oh well, that week is almost over.
:))

I'm about to attempt to quit smoking (for the millionth time)
Today..so wish me luck with that.

Yesterday I went to the "half of a half " store.
Look at this MOB that was waiting to get in the door.

Wednesday is the day the get new stuff in. WOO HOO!!

I found a couple awesome things . A polka dotted bra, some jeweled flip flops and a pair of shorts.

All for under 20 bucks. Score!

Last night the UPS man brought me an unexpected package.

My oldest son sent me this box of gourmet goodies.

THANKS WEIS!!!

I assume that the rat trap is a joke. :)

I did make dinner last night using the tahnini.

I'll post the recipe later on.

Humiliation......you can't scare 'em all...

Well, most of today went to hell in a handbag.

We started late because most of our appointments were in the afternoon.

So,I was home all morning and did not accomplish much.By the time Eva and I met at the office she had this embarrassing tale to tell:

We have been trying to find this client some gas stations.

Ok, so we've been stopping at random gas stations "inquiring of the owner, if they would like to sell it."

A few days ago ,we went to this gas station on a certain corner in town ,and we were told "yes , we do want to sell"

We give the kid our cards and he says"oh , my dad , he will call you!"

So , this morning Eva calls our buyer and says

"I found a station for you, right here in town ! But they really want to sell it so you will have to act fast!"

"Where is it located?"

"it's at bla bla bla corner"

Dead silence from the client, probably, as he is trying to refrain from spewing coffee out of his nostrils.
He can finally speak" You're trying to sell me my OWN gas station?"

Crap! he already owns it. the stupid manager was just acting like the "big man" like HE owned it.

*cackle* all I can say is I am glad it was HER and not me. I would have crumbled with humiliation.

But not my Eva.....what does she do?

She says"Well , since you already own that, do you want to buy a bar?"

GO EVA!!!

He's going to ask around about it. :)

Then our 2 afternoon appointments ...one canceled and the other did not bother to call at all.

We also got lost ,looking for some land, ate lunch at the Sushi restaurant and then we quit early...4:00.

I got home and spent the next 3 hours finishing a book I had started yesterday. And I must say it was a damn good book! The best one I've read in quite some time.

It was called "Heart shaped box"
by Joe Hill

and NO it's not some stupid romance novel ...as the title might have you believe. It is a horror/ghost story. Go...Go get it NOW and read it!!!
The library will have it ..when I return mine. :)

Goodnight ya'll!
